Saturday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. local time (CET, UTC+1), students and families from Fondazione Karis – Karis Schools will take seats in the Distinti sector of Stadio Romeo Neri — and that invitation is only the opening act of a wider plan. Rimini Calcio has launched “In Campo per il Futuro” (“On the Field for the Future”), a project aimed at building a stable relationship between the world of schools and the world of football, turning sport into a tool for education, aggregation and belonging, Newsrimini reported.
The first event is tied to Rimini Calcio’s match against Medicina Fossatone at the Romeo Neri stadium. Corriereromagna.it and chiamamicitta.it independently confirmed the same details: Nov. 7 at 3 p.m., with the Karis Schools students and families welcomed in the Distinti stands to experience the match together and cheer for the biancorossi.
The plan reaches into classrooms, not just the stands
The club’s initiative goes well beyond a stadium invitation. Rimini Calcio intends to enter schools directly, organizing meetings in which its players and club representatives share experiences and personal stories with students, according to all three outlets covering the launch.
The values the project promotes are specific: respect for the rules, sacrifice, teamwork, inclusion and the ability to face difficulties. Chiamamicitta.it described the same list as resilience in the face of hardship. The stated goal is to create opportunities for dialogue and to bring young people closer not only to playing sport, but also to the history and football identity of the city of Rimini.
Every school level in Rimini is in scope
The project targets primary schools, lower secondary schools and upper secondary schools. Activities will be arranged according to the age of the students and the needs of each individual school, the club said.
After Fondazione Karis signed on, other Rimini schools expressed interest in the initiative, opening the way to new collaborations and to a calendar of meetings and events that the club plans to develop over the course of the season.
Why the club says the Romeo Neri matters again
In a statement, Rimini Calcio’s board of directors said it wants the Romeo Neri stadium to become a reference point once again for young people and families. The board stressed that the objective is not simply to fill the stadium, but to build something that lasts: to let young people get to know Rimini Calcio, identify with its colors and feel the team as part of their own city.
The board also framed the educational message in everyday terms — football can teach respect, discipline, team spirit and the ability to get back up after a defeat, values that belong to sport but above all to life. The enthusiasm shown by Fondazione Karis, and the interest arriving from other schools, encourage the club to continue with even greater determination, the statement said.
The board’s stated hope is to see more and more students in the Romeo Neri stands match after match, because the children and teenagers who attend a match for the first time today could become the fans, supporters and protagonists of Rimini Calcio tomorrow.
Nov. 7 against Medicina Fossatone is the first test
The next confirmed checkpoint is the league match against Medicina Fossatone at Stadio Romeo Neri on Saturday, Nov. 7, kicking off at 3 p.m. local time, when the Karis Schools students and families will be in the Distinti sector for the project’s first public event.
