PetrosyanMania introduces new championship titles in Milan

The PetrosyanMania combat sports event moves into a new era on Saturday, November 7, at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, The Shield Of Sports reported. This edition marks the first following the retirement of Giorgio Petrosyan and introduces the organization’s own titled championship circuit.

The card features 20 total matches, divided into 12 preliminary bouts and eight main card fights. Beyond the new championship titles, the event includes two major tournaments: the PetrosyanMania Grand Prix for athletes under 70 kg and a K-1 World GP qualification tournament for athletes under 90 kg.

Championship bouts and tournament structures define the card

The main card focuses on the coronation of several new champions. The WAKO Pro Italian female title at 55 kg will be contested between Ilaria Pizzuti and Houda Boutebdja. Following this, the event will crown the inaugural PetrosyanMania European champions in the 60 kg division with Fabrizio Ruggiero against Aleksandre Mukbaniani, and in the 77 kg division with Ilyass Chakir against Andrea Luigi Rigamonti.

World titles are also on the line in two weight classes. In the 70 kg division, Samo Petje will face Stas Kazantsev, while Eddy Vinotti will compete against Stefan Vranceanu for the 65 kg PetrosyanMania World Title.

The K-1 World GP 2027 qualifying tournament involves eight athletes competing in the under-90 kg category. The preliminary rounds include quarter-final matches featuring Samuele Pugliese against Maikel Frank, Alexandru-Iulian Amaritei against Aaron Măcăilă, Amin Aarafa against Loïc Njeya, and Cristiano De Toffol against Lucian Genunchi. These winners will advance to the semifinals and eventually the final held during the main card.

The PetrosyanMania Grand Prix for the under-70 kg category features four Italian-trained athletes: Aimane Farjaoui (Action Team Italia), Laurentiu Partenie (Team Warriors Milano), Haitham El Mazahi (Team Tsunami Petrosyan), and Mouhamed Niang (XXL Combact Team / Team Lamonica). The tournament will proceed through semifinal rounds before the final match on the main card.

A €5,000 bonus has been added to the evening’s incentives. During the weigh-in, it was announced that UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan has provided the funding for this prize, which will be awarded to the athlete responsible for the best match or the best knockout of the night.
