Alpha International Basketball Academy officially opened its doors in South Jakarta on Sunday, November 1, 2026, launching an ambitious training program designed to fuse coaching methodologies from the United States, Europe, and Indonesia. Operating out of the Rana Ground in Mampang Prapatan, Lexino Hakim established the facility to expand access to international-standard basketball development for young players across the country.
Elite Coaching Lineup Drawn from NBA, Europe, and IBL
The mentor lineup features Jamar Johnson, an American-born naturalized Indonesian player who has led the Indonesian national team. Alongside him, Maciej Lampe brings playing experience from the NBA and top European competitions, while Samuel Bronzof played professionally in France, and Wenda Wijaya contributes veteran experience from the IBL.
Curriculum Tailored for Pressure and Precision
This group formed the foundation of Alpha’s training curriculum, which emphasizes fundamental skill acquisition, individual capability growth, game strategy comprehension, situation reading, and decision-making under pressure.

Program schedules are tailored to participants’ age groups and readiness levels, supported by regular evaluations to monitor athletic progress and keep mentoring focused.
Global Competition Pathways and Character Building
Beyond training sessions at the South Jakarta facility, the academy organizes opportunities for participants to compete in international tournaments and matches overseas. These fixtures allow young athletes to test themselves against opponents with different playing styles, build competitive resilience, and understand global performance standards.
Academy organizers structured the program as a step-by-step pathway for athletes aiming for higher levels of competition, aligning with the growth of student basketball leagues and the pursuit of sports scholarships at secondary and university levels. Alongside technical skills, the coaching staff incorporates character-building components focused on rule compliance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and receptiveness to tactical instruction.
