U2 Schedules Paris Stadium Concerts for May 2027
U2 will return to Europe for a major world tour, scheduling two concerts at the Stade de France in Paris on Wednesday, May 5, and Saturday, May 8, 2027, according to an announcement confirmed on social media. The upcoming dates follow a series of surprise performances in Dublin celebrating the band’s 50th anniversary, and mark the group’s return to the live stage since their residency at the Las Vegas Sphere wrapped up in early 2024.
Carnaval de Luz Tour and New Album Release
The upcoming global trek is titled “Carnaval De Luz Presents: The Greatest Show On Earth,” featuring stops across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe, including cities such as Stockholm, Lisbon, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, and Milan. The tour supports the band’s 16th studio album, Carnaval de Luz, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026. The 12-track project serves as the follow-up to their record Songs of Experience and explores themes of spirituality, friendship, freedom, and perseverance against oppressive forces. The band has already shared new tracks including “Silencio,” “Streets of Dreams,” and “The Greatest Show On Earth,” the latter accompanied by a music video directed by Anton Corbijn.
