Shelssy Zoutini Wins Gold for Toulouse Balma Judo at Chalon Tournament

Just one month after the autumn return to the mats, the 2026–2027 judo season is well underway for the Toulouse Balma arts martiaux (TBAM) club, with athletes posting early podium finishes across multiple tournaments, according to local media reports.

Early Medal Successes at Chalon-sur-Saône and Rochefort

Training resumed in early September across the club’s dojos in Balma and Toulouse, quickly translating into competitive momentum. At the Label A Juniors tournament in Chalon-sur-Saône, Shelssy Zoutini led the TBAM delegation by capturing the gold medal in the under-48 kg weight category.

Additional junior podium honors followed. Ariane Massat secured a bronze medal in the under-57 kg division, and teammate Emma Guiral claimed bronze in the under-78 kg category. In the men’s events, Mohamed Bettahar finished fifth in the under-55 kg weight class.

The senior squad also opened its competitive calendar at the regional tournament in Rochefort. The women’s team collected two medals: Léa Nogaret earned a silver medal in the under-70 kg division, while Carla Martins took home a bronze in the under-48 kg category.

Open Registration and Trial Sessions Across Regional Dojos

Despite the fast start to the competitive calendar, the club is keeping enrollment open through the early weeks of the season. Children, teenagers, and adults can access two trial sessions to sample the sport before committing to full membership.

TBAM operates training locations across both Balma and Toulouse, accommodating a wide range of ages, skill levels, and athletic goals. Complete schedules, venue addresses, and registration paperwork are hosted on the official club website at www.toulouse-balma-am.fr.
