NBA and Nestlé Partner to Promote Youth Basketball Across 21 Markets

The National Basketball Association and Nestlé have signed a multi-year partnership agreement making Nesquik, Milo, and Nescau official partners of the league across multiple markets on four continents, PuroMarketing reported.

This commercial alliance targets youth sports development by integrating the food brands into grassroots basketball initiatives, community inclusion projects, and immersive fan experiences.

Agreement Spans 21 Markets Across Four Continents

The initial phase of the agreement spans 21 markets across four continents, focusing on regions with established sports participation and high consumer volume.

European markets include Spain, Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom. North American activations cover the United States and Canada, while Latin America features Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.

In Asia and Oceania, the project incorporates Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. African markets include Ghana and Nigeria, alongside Turkey as a Eurasian enclave. Philippines will join the official brand activations starting in October 2027.

Partner Brands Embed Within Youth Basketball Circuits

The collaboration extends past traditional advertising to embed partner brands directly within the league’s youth basketball circuits. Activities will operate through Jr. NBA, Jr. WNBA, NBA Basketball School training camps, and coaching academy technical programs.

The partnership also supports community inclusion initiatives such as Her Time To Play, which encourages girls to participate and remain active in youth basketball, alongside NBA 3X urban basketball tournaments.

Nestlé brands will appear on thematic product packaging in retail stores, offering consumers promotional access to official game tickets, exclusive merchandise, and specialized experiences.

Fan Engagement at Global Events

Alongside youth development programs, the agreement secures brand integration at major league entertainment events, including NBA Global Games and interactive NBA House installations.

These retail promotions and live activations aim to connect the league’s entertainment products with everyday family routines across the participating territories.
