Morelos Archery Academy Opens New Training Facility in Cuernavaca

Morelos athletes have a new home for competitive precision.

A Collaborative State Initiative

Directed by Juan Felipe Domínguez Robles, the state sports body worked alongside the Morelos State Archery Academy to relocate and upgrade facilities. The initiative is supported by the administration of Morelos Margarita González Saravia. The relocation follows a process of work, effort, and commitment to the sport, allowing the organization to take this step in favor of the growth of archery in the state.

Tiered Training for Every Skill Level

The newly assigned venue is undergoing gradual conditioning to accommodate athletes across various stages of development, providing better conditions from initial approaches to the bow and arrow to technical refinement and high performance, allowing members to advance through different stages of their athletic careers.

A foundational formation zone welcomes newcomers, a development area targets technical growth, and an elite high-performance sector serves advanced competitors. The academy noted that its purpose extends beyond technical preparation, aiming to shape disciplined, confident, committed individuals capable of teamwork, which are fundamental values both inside and outside the firing line. The organization expressed its gratitude to the Instituto del Deporte y Cultura Física del Estado de Morelos (Indem) and its general director, Juan Felipe Domínguez Robles, for the support provided to make this step possible.

Strict Schedules and Age Requirements

Training sessions at the Lienzo Charro venue are open to participants starting at nine years of age, expanding training opportunities for girls, boys, youth, and interested individuals.

Schedule distributions designate Group B practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 15:30 to 18:00 hours. Group A sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the same afternoon hours. Weekend blocks operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 13:00 hours local time.

Targeting National Glory in 2027

Academy members Charlot Méndez Ortíz and Nicolás García Campos noted that the dedicated space provides essential infrastructure for sharpening precision, surpassing personal scoring benchmarks, and maintaining consistent preparation.
