Ministry of Youth and Sports organizes cultural program in Sanaa

The General Directorate of Cultural and Social Activities of the Youth Sector of the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized a cultural program in Sanaá to accompany the archery tournament, saba.ye reported. The initiative brought together athletes, sports officials, and cultural figures to blend physical competition with intellectual engagement.

Ministry of Youth and Sports Launches Cultural Initiative Alongside Archery Tournament

The archery tournament itself is organized by the General Federation of this sport under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and receives financial backing from the Youth and Sports Development Fund, according to saba.ye. Designed as a comprehensive event, the program aims to elevate the intellectual and athletic level of members of clubs and centers, foster the integration of sport and culture, and enhance the mental capacities of participants.

Mohammed Al-Ahjari, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee, attended the events in Sanaá alongside ministry officials. The integration of structured cultural programming into sports competitions forms part of the ministry’s broader strategy to enhance mental capacities alongside athletic performance.

Youth Roles and Internal Resilience Discussed at Sanaá Conference

A central feature of the accompanying program was a conference entitled “La Juventud y su Papel en el Fortalecimiento del Frente Interno.” Cultural activist Mohammed Al-Badawi delivered key remarks during the session, emphasizing the vital role young people play in supporting official and popular efforts.

Al-Badawi stressed the necessity of building unity and resilience against rumors and attempts to sow division. He urged participants to arm themselves with awareness, faith, and patriotism when confronting challenges, noting that intellectual grounding is as crucial for athletes as physical training.

Modern Technology Center Captures First Place in Cultural Competition

As part of the ministry’s effort to foster the connection between sport and culture, organizers staged a varied cultural quiz competition involving six teams. The competing groups represented local centers including My Footprint, The Fortress of Knowledge, Modern Technology, Planet of Scholars, Al-Ittihad, and Balqis, saba.ye reported.

At the conclusion of the quiz rounds, the Modern Technology Center team secured the first-place finish.

Nationwide Ideological Goals Shape the Archery Program

Beyond athletic achievement and quiz standings, organizers designed the cultural program to develop participant awareness, instill values of belonging and identity based on faith, and reinforce a connection with central issues of the nation, prominently highlighting the Palestinian cause.

According to saba.ye, these combined activities are intended to shape an athletic and conscious personality that combines athletic achievement with comprehensive knowledge.
