Judo Club Mayenne Visits Jesi to Exchange Training Techniques

Judo Club Mayenne Delegation Arrives in Jesi for Joint Training

France’s Judo Club Mayenne traveled to Italy this week, sending a delegation of approximately ten members—comprising instructors, athletes, and support staff—to train alongside the Judo Samurai club in Jesi. The visit, which took place on October 23, 2026, aims to facilitate the exchange of training techniques between the two organizations.

Led by master Vincent Landau, the visit serves as a point of contact for the two organizations, which have built a relationship that strengthens year by year.

Municipal Reception at the Jesi Town Hall

The visiting French group received an official welcome at the Jesi municipal building from Lorenzo Fiordelmondo and Deputy Mayor and Sports Councilor Samuele Animali. The reception held in the City Council chamber was also attended by Judo Samurai president Paola Paradisi, technical coordinator Claudio Coppari, and several local athletes from the Jesi club.

Twenty-Five Years of Community Ties

Mayor Fiordelmondo pointed to the visit as a pillar of the broader relationship between the two municipalities, noting that the official town twinning agreement will mark its 25th anniversary next year. According to municipal reports, the mayor emphasized that the judo collaboration acts as a concrete reflection of the friendship fostered between the two communities.

Sport as a Bridge Across Distances

“The most authentic value of sport is embodied by the friendship between these two realities: the ability to break down distances, create lasting bonds, and foster mutual respect,” Fiordelmondo said in a statement provided by the municipality.

Commitment to Future Shared Projects

Representatives from Judo Club Mayenne expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality received throughout their stay in Italy. They specifically thanked the city for the “splendid welcome” provided to the delegation.

The French group formally confirmed their ongoing commitment to pursuing shared development projects with their Italian counterparts, reinforcing the diplomatic and social channels established through the municipal twinning program.
