Jesi Mayor Welcomes French Judo Club Mayenne Delegation

A delegation from France’s Judo Club Mayenne arrived in Jesi to train alongside the local Judo Samurai club, marking the approaching 25th anniversary of the twinning between Jesi and Mayenne, according to coverage published by QdM Notizie and Cronache Ancona.

Delegation Welcomed at Palazzo Comunale

Led by master Vincent Landau, the visiting group of approximately 10 teachers, athletes, and staff members met with municipal leaders inside the town council chamber at Palazzo comunale. Lorenzo Fiordelmondo and Samuele Animali—who also serves as the city’s sports assessor—hosted the delegation alongside Judo Samurai president Paola Paradisi, technical coordinator Claudio Coppari, and several local judokas, as reported by Cronache Ancona.

Quarter-Century Partnership Built on Tatami

The athletic exchange serves as a precursor to the gemellaggio between Jesi and Mayenne, which will celebrate 25 candles next year. “Initiatives of the type give even more value to the twinning between Jesi and Mayenne, which will extinguish 25 candles next year, and which also feeds on the relationships that are built between realities of the two cities, as in the case of this friendship between the two judo clubs that strengthens from year to year,” Fiordelmondo stated, according to the municipal notes cited by Cronache Ancona.

French and Jesi Judo Clubs Commit to Joint Training

Beyond civic receptions, the core itinerary centers on technical training sessions and the exchange of coaching best practices between the French visitors and the Jesi-based Judo Samurai members. Representatives from Judo Club Mayenne expressed gratitude for the local hospitality and confirmed a mutual commitment to ongoing collaborative development projects between the two clubs. Both organizations plan to continue coordinating joint training initiatives as they approach the upcoming anniversary of the cross-border partnership.
