Watchmaker Gérald Charles has expanded its sporty collection with the launch of the Maestro GC Sports Tennis Turquoise, featuring a 41 by 39 millimeter grade 5 titanium case and a bright turquoise dial. The release marks the first time the brand has incorporated turquoise blue into its Maestro collection, pairing the distinctive dial color with a matching face-fastened strap.
Titanium Case Engineering and ErgonTeq Ergonomics
Designed specifically for wear during tennis matches, the timepiece utilizes a lightweight grade 5 titanium construction that brings the total weight down to 64 grams. The watch measures 9 millimeters in thickness and incorporates the brand’s proprietary ErgonTeq ergonomic design system, which optimizes case curvature and lug geometry to distribute weight and reduce wrist fatigue. To prevent the crown from pressing against the back of the hand during active play, engineers positioned the screw-down crown at the 9 o’clock position for a left-hand configuration.
Caliber GCA 2.0 Movement and Shock Resistance
Inside the dark blast-finished titanium case sits the automatic Caliber GCA 2.0, measuring 3.7 millimeters thick. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour across 28 jewels and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Built to withstand the physical demands of tennis, the watch is engineered with 5G shock resistance and 100-meter water resistance. A transparent caseback displays the movement, featuring a honeycomb-patterned rotor and Geneva stripe finishing.
