Technical instructors from across Abruzzo gathered at the Inspector and Superintendent School of the Guardia di Finanza in L’Aquila on Saturday, October 3, for a regional professional development session organized by the FIJLKAM regional committee. The gathering marked the second update course hosted for regional coaches specializing in judo, karate, wrestling, and jujitsu.
Mosè Lamolinara Coordinates the Training Program
Regional Committee President Emilio Ermano and Regional Judo Sector President Giampaolo Petrollini appointed Mosè Lamolinara to coordinate the training program. Lamolinara selected Gianfelice Mongelluzzo and Erika Laganà to serve as instructors alongside him. All three educators belong to the National Personal Defense Commission.
The Global Self-Defense Method in Practice
The curriculum centered entirely on personal defense training utilizing the Metodo Globale di Autodifesa, known as MGA. Instructors walked participating Abruzzo coaches through newly established guidelines spanning three primary operational areas: healthcare environments, law enforcement contexts, and women’s personal defense strategies.
Group Workshops Shape Administrative Focus
Organizers dedicated specific portions of the schedule to administrative and organizational frameworks. Attendees worked through structured group exercises designed to encourage direct peer collaboration and experiential learning, pairing technical updates with shared professional development.
Institutional Support and Facility Standards
Presidents Ermano and Petrollini attended the session to observe proceedings, offering public praise for the high standard of instruction delivered by the teaching staff and the active engagement shown by the participating coaches. Organizers extended explicit gratitude to the school’s commander, Division General Gabriele Failla, noting his strong institutional backing for personal defense initiatives and the Guardia di Finanza’s hospitality in hosting the event.
