Judo Campania Holds Regional Examination Session in Pomigliano d’Arco
Pomigliano d’Arco hosted the regional examination session for first, second, and third Dan rankings, basic coaching qualifications, and technical teaching re-admissions on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Held at the C.P.D. “Pomilia” facility, the event was organized by the Campania Regional Committee of the FIJLKAM Judo Sector.
Candidates for the Dan promotions displayed technical knowledge and awareness of their training paths, while aspiring basic coaches demonstrated an understanding of the responsibilities required for future leadership roles in the sport.
Officials and Coaches Coordinate Judo Examination Training
The examination proceedings were coordinated by Olindo Rea, the regional president of the Judo Sector, alongside Domenico Salernitano from the School and Promotion Commission. Both officials monitored each phase of the testing schedule to maintain organization and support candidates throughout the venue.

Preparation for the session relied on months of training conducted by designated committee coaches Sandro Piccirillo and Antonio Marotta. Their instructional efforts integrated with the daily preparation provided by coaches and instructors at the individual sports clubs where the candidates train.
Six Commissions Evaluate Candidate Performance and Discipline
Six separate examination commissions evaluated the candidates during the Saturday session. The panels included masters Gennaro Muscariello, Giovanni Maddaloni, Francesco Sorrentino, Antonio Romano, Massimo Parlati, Polisciano, Fernando Gallia, Antonio Capezzuto, Alfonso Scisciola, Arturo Lazzaris, Giovanni De Somma, and Mafalda Chiaro.
Following the evaluations, commission members reported satisfaction with the overall performance levels. They commended the candidates for their preparation, discipline, and attitude during the testing phases.
FIJLKAM Campania Regional Committee President Antonio Bracciante opened the day with a briefing, welcoming candidates and emphasizing that the grading process represents a step forward in personal and athletic development within the federation rather than merely a qualification milestone.
Regional Leadership Emphasizes Duties of New Instructors
The organizational framework of the event was managed by Olindo Rea, Domenico Salernitano, and press office representative Amalia Palma. Their coordination aimed to provide a structured environment for candidates, families, and attending instructors.
Regional leadership noted that achieving a higher Dan rank marks years of practice and adherence to judo principles, while earning a basic coaching qualification places a distinct educational duty on the newly certified instructors to guide future generations of athletes.
