Club Bádminton Estella wins four gold medals at Estella tournament

Club Bádminton Estella secured four gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals at the Máster Territorial sub-13, sub-17, and absolute tournament held in Estella on Monday, October 26, 2026. Twelve players from the club competed across multiple age brackets during the regional event.

Daniel Chasco and Rocío Ajona Lead Gold Medal Haul

Daniel Chasco claimed two individual gold titles, winning the under-13 boys’ singles event and partnering with Ekain Vicente of Pamplona to capture the under-13 boys’ doubles crown. Rocío Ajona and Lucía Chasco added a third gold for the host club by winning the under-17 girls’ doubles division. Both Ajona and Lucía Chasco exited the singles tournament in the group stage following tightly contested matches.

David Manzano and Eduardo Bayón Secure Hard-Fought Doubles Victory

David Manzano teamed up with Eduardo Bayón of UVa to secure the men’s doubles gold medal after winning a closely contested final match. Manzano’s singles campaign ended in the group stage following a narrow 22-20 defeat in the third set. Paula Larrión reached the under-17 girls’ singles final before finishing in second place, while her mixed doubles pairing with Diego Muñoz of Valladolid bowed out during the group phase.

Marta Larrión and Hugo Cardoso Claim Silver in Mixed Competition

Marta Larrión and Hugo Cardoso of Laguna earned a silver medal in the under-17 mixed doubles category. Marta Larrión did not advance past the singles group stage after dropping a match to teammate Irati Baquedano. Baquedano similarly exited the singles group phase but bounced back in mixed doubles, taking third place alongside Diego Benedi of Alfajarín.

Nerea Larrión Earns Double Podium Finishes

Nerea Larrión secured a pair of third-place finishes, taking bronze in the under-13 girls’ singles and partnering with Miguel Garrués to place third in the under-13 mixed doubles. Iván Berné, Noa Vidán, and Eider Peláez did not advance beyond the group stage in their respective events. Club officials noted that both Noa Vidán and Iván Berné competed in an age category above their own.

Upcoming TTR Vitoria Schedule

Club Bádminton Estella players will travel to compete in the upcoming TTR Vitoria tournament, featuring under-15, under-19, absolute, and senior categories.
