Arcieri Nizzarco dominated the senior and master divisions at the 2nd Trofeo dell’Acino d’Oro, capturing top team honors in the indoor circuit at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Bistagno. The interregional competition brought together clubs from Piedmont, Liguria, and Marche for a series of 18-meter indoor rounds.
Arcieri Nizzarco Leads Team Standings in Bistagno
The Nizza Monferrato squad secured the top position in the men’s Olympic recurve team standings on Sunday, September 27, compiling a combined score of 1,472 points. Records show the club hit 38 arrows in the 10-ring and 53 arrows in the 9-ring during the flight. Jacopo Di Virgilio led the scoring for the group with 545 points, backed by Giovanni Zito with 466 points and Valerio Surano with 461 points.
Master Division Archers Post Winning Scores
In the master men’s Olympic recurve division, Arcieri Nizzarco claimed the first-place team finish with 1,503 points. The group registered 53 arrows in the 10-ring and 44 in the 9-ring. Ivano Morando paced the master squad with a score of 559, followed by Fabrizio Demarchi with 492 points and Antonio Coppola with 452 points.
Individual Podiums Highlight Club Depth
Beyond the team victories, club members captured several individual podium places across divisions at the Bistagno venue. Jacopo Di Virgilio finished second in the senior men’s Olympic recurve division with his 545-point total. Sara Zanni took third place in the senior women’s Olympic recurve category with 462 points. In the master men’s division, Morando finished first with 559 points and Demarchi placed third with 492 points. Young athlete Gianluca Morando won the boys’ Olympic recurve category with 478 points, while Alberto Malara secured second place in the senior men’s barebow division with 475 points.
