French judoka Fanny-Estelle Posvite, a world and European medalist currently ranked 17th globally in the under-78kg division, will headline the 23rd edition of the Eurojudo event this weekend in Criel-sur-Mer, local organizers announced. The weekend gathering, hosted by the local judo club at the gymnasium of the Château de Chantereine on October 3 and October 4, features a technical seminar led by the elite competitor alongside a youth tournament.

Posvite, who is licensed with the Nice Judo Alliance, brings an extensive competitive resume to the Normandy commune, including five French championship titles, a Master’s title, three European medals, and a world championship medal. She will lead the Saturday afternoon technical sessions designed to share practical methods and progression advice with participating athletes.

The collective training is divided into two age groups. Poussins, benjamins, and minimes participants will hit the mats from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, with a participation fee of 5 euros. Cadets, juniors, and seniors will follow immediately afterward from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, carrying a registration fee of 7 euros.

Sunday Youth Tournament Details

Following Saturday’s technical instruction, the weekend concludes on Sunday with an open tournament dedicated to younger competitors ranging from pre-poussins to minimes categories. Official weigh-ins for the minimes division are scheduled to begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. local time.
