Competitive Success at San Bartolomeo al Mare
On Sunday, September 27, archers gathered in San Bartolomeo al Mare for an outdoor 25+18 meter target competition hosted by the local club, Arcieri di San Bartolomeo al Mare. Archery Club Ventimiglia put forward a strong contingent, securing top honors in two distinct disciplines.
In the recurve division, Carlo Martin delivered a precise performance that carried him to the top step of the podium. Meanwhile, in the compound division, Giulia Aloi claimed victory after posting a high score.
Community Outreach at the Ventimiglia Sports Festival
While members competed down the coast, another faction of the Ventimiglia club remained in the city center to participate in the local sports festival. The event transformed the urban core into an open-air sports village designed to introduce residents of all ages to regional athletic programs.
38 sports associations participated in the initiative, offering hands-on demonstrations and equipment displays. Archery Club Ventimiglia used the gathering to showcase archery techniques, bow types, and characteristics of the discipline to families and children.
“It was a wonderful day,” the club stated in a public comment, emphasizing the value of sharing the sport with fellow local athletic organizations. During the festivities, Mayor Flavio Di Muro presented the club with an official recognition award.
Transitioning to the Indoor Season
With the outdoor competitions concluded, Archery Club Ventimiglia is shifting its focus to the upcoming indoor calendar. Running through the end of April, tournaments will transition to indoor venues featuring a standard 18-meter distance.
The club’s next official test is already locked in for October 17 and 18, when its competitors return to the firing line at an upcoming tournament in Imperia.
