Archers du Roseau club members competed at the French traditional archery championship in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, marking the end of the outdoor season for the Somme-based organization.

French Championship Results in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois

The outdoor campaign concluded for the Archers du Roseau club of Érondelle with the participation of two young archers in the French Beursault archery championship on Oct. 4, 2026, in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, actu.fr reported. Beursault shooting takes place exclusively within a traditional enclosed layout known as a “Jeu d’arc,” featuring restricted groups of five competitors.

Manon and Louane Galland-Debray represented the club among 591 participants who gathered across 35 shooting ranges in the Paris region. Louane finished 18th in the U15 classical division, while Manon secured sixth place in the U21 classical category.

Podiums at the Coupe du Président and Departmental Events

The club’s success extended beyond the Beursault championship. The women’s team consisting of Sandrine Voltolini, Carole Debray, and Lucille Carton claimed second place at the Coupe du Président, missing the top spot by a single tiebreaker arrow against the team from Sains-en-Amiénois.

Carole Debray also earned a bronze medal in June at the departmental outdoor national championship over a 50-meter distance. In the barebow compound division, Alexis Lottin (U21) earned departmental titles in field archery and 3D archery, alongside a regional title in 3D archery. Senior competitor Benoît Melin captured departmental titles in both 3D and field archery disciplines.

Gaël Bertrand Claims Fifth in National 3D Competition

Gaël Bertrand represented the club earlier in the summer at the French 3D archery championship, also held in the Paris region. Competing in the barebow compound category, Bertrand reached fifth place before exiting in the quarterfinal round against the eventual runner-up of the tournament. Bertrand holds departmental and regional titles in both nature and 3D archery formats.
