The French Archery Federation (FFTA) has provided support for the creation of a new employment position as part of regional development efforts.
Regional Committee Expands Staff in Ile-de-France
The Regional Committee of Ile-de-France, which recorded 14,222 registered licensees across 231 clubs and eight departmental committees, is adding a regional development officer to its team. The position is established through a fixed-term professionalization contract, with the explicit objective of transitioning the role into a permanent open-ended contract (CDI) beginning in the 2028 season.
Ash Celerault, a trainee in the 2026/2027 cohort of the DEJEPS Archery state diploma program, will step into the newly created role. Celerault’s responsibilities include expanding youth participation, promoting run-archery initiatives, highlighting the regional committee’s projects, and serving as deputy director at the Châtenay-Malabry Elite Training Center (Pôle Espoirs).
Federal Support and Funding Structure
Elisa Tulli, Technical Regional Advisor for Ile-de-France, noted that the federal assistance covered both the FFTA submission process and the vocational training funding requests through AFDAS.
“The federal support for creating this position was very comprehensive, both for the FFTA file and for the AFDAS funding request for the DEJEPS training,” Tulli stated. She highlighted the availability and responsiveness of the federation during the end-of-season period, which allowed local organizers to submit competitive applications that successfully secured full financing.
Under the terms of the employment support program, the new position receives financial backing spanning four years. This consists of €2,000 allocated during the initial training year, followed by a €15,000 funding envelope distributed across the first three years after the permanent contract is signed.
Timeline of the Employment Rollout
- 2026–2027 Season: Apprenticeship contracts and DEJEPS training commence alongside initial federal subsidies of €2,000.
- End of Training Phase: Transition evaluations scheduled ahead of the permanent contract activation.
- 2028 Season: Target implementation date for converting the development roles into permanent CDI status, supported by the three-year federal funding envelope totaling €15,000.
