When the starting lights went out at the Misano circuit, Marco Bezzecchi launched from pole position determined to capitalize on his home turf. Bezzecchi entered the weekend sporting a helmet decal bearing the Italian phrase translated as “I’m not letting go of the bone,” symbolizing his refusal to concede the title fight. Yet Márquez made quick work of the Ducati rival.

Márquez started from second on the grid and spent virtually no time behind his competitor. He slipped past Bezzecchi entering the very first turn, immediately establishing a gap and dominating the 13-lap sprint. Bezzecchi attempted to close the distance during the middle stages of the race, but ultimately settled for second place as Márquez cruised to the checkered flag.

Championship leader Jorge Martín crossed the finish line in third place, rounding out the podium for the sprint.

Qualifying results set up an identical front-row challenge for Sunday’s main event. Marco Bezzecchi will once again start from pole position, with Marc Márquez lining up directly behind him in second place. Championship leader Jorge Martín faces a tougher climb through the field, scheduled to start from the fifth grid position.
