Four-Country Project Focuses on Core Disciplines and Olympic Values
The cross-border initiative centers on four core sports: handball, volleyball, swimming, and climbing. Participants are drawn from Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Vorarlberg, several East Swiss cantons, and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Around 30 coaches and specialized personnel guide the young athletes through the three-day program, which receives backing from the Olympic governing bodies of all four participating nations, including Swiss Olympic and the Liechtenstein Olympic Committee.
Interactive Opening and Expert Insights in Bregenz
Action begins on Friday with initial training sessions, followed by an interactive opening ceremony for all participants at the Festspielhaus Bregenz on Friday evening. Saturday features intensive training blocks, joint athletic drills, and workshops. A central highlight of the weekend program features a lecture at the Festspielhaus Bregenz by Anna-Maria Wagner, a two-time judo world champion and two-time Olympic bronze medalist from Ravensburg.
Long-Term Regional Development and Schedule
Organizers plan to establish the Talent Days Bodensee as a biennial fixture for youth sport development in the region. Following the 2026 premiere in Bregenz and Dornbirn, a subsequent edition is scheduled for Vorarlberg in 2028, with future expansion to other host locations across the four-country region planned starting in 2030. The program concludes on Sunday with final training units and a joint closing ceremony.
