Kozma Uses Abandoned Pitch for Mental Preparation
David Kozma, known by the moniker “Růžový panter,” recently shared video footage of his unconventional training method ahead of his bout with Christian Eckerlin. Kozma discovered an abandoned football field, which he used as a tool for visualization because the Oktagon 94 event is scheduled to take place at a football stadium.
Kozma stated that he used the location for light shadowboxing while imagining the presence of fans and stadium stands to mentally prepare for the fight. He noted that this process of visualization is intended to lead to a victory on Saturday.
Crowd Dynamics and Public Perception in Frankfurt
Facing a “German superstar” in Eckerlin, Kozma acknowledged that the majority of the spectators will likely back his opponent. While he is prepared for the lack of local support, he does not expect the crowd to be openly hostile.
Kozma remarked that he does not believe the entire stadium will boo him, suggesting that the audience will likely remain quiet instead. He attributed this to the fact that he does not view himself as a negative figure and considers himself to be “quite okay.”
Limited Personal Support System
Despite the high profile of the event, Kozma revealed that very few of his personal friends are traveling to Frankfurt to support him. He noted that most of his acquaintances are unavailable due to vacations or other commitments, including one friend attending a wedding.
Kozma expressed some frustration that his inner circle “gave up” on attending, specifically mentioning that his partner, Sára, must stay home with their children due to a lack of childcare. Only two friends from Karviné are expected to attend the event.
Professional Corner and Access
While his personal support is limited, Kozma is accompanied by his professional coaching staff. Coach André Reinders has already arrived in Frankfurt to lead the fighter’s preparation. Kozma confirmed that the two friends traveling from Karviné will be granted access to the locker room to experience the atmosphere of the event closely.
The Oktagon 94 event is scheduled for Saturday evening, with the broadcast beginning at 18:00.
