The team faces early-season struggles at sixteenth in the standings after three consecutive losses. The addition of the veteran netminder is designed to stabilize the squad and provide vital mentorship to younger players in the locker room, including fellow Toulouse academy product Issiaka Touré.

Following his departure from Toulouse, the Martigues native embarked on a journeyman career that spanned multiple continents and leagues. His post-Toulouse career featured stints in Norway with Kongsvinger, Turkey with Kayserispor, Andorra, and Tanzania with Kagera Sugar, alongside appearances in the Kings League. Most recently, he represented the Comoros national team during the Arab Cup, leading many observers to anticipate an impending retirement before the unexpected move to Aubagne.

In an interview with BFM Marseille, the goalkeeper outlined plans to launch a specialized goalkeeper academy with the backing of his new club. Ahamada is actively pursuing his official coaching badges and is slated to join the coaching staff for the Comoros U20 national team, bridging his playing days with a structured transition into technical staff roles.
