Ramon Pellicer Returns to Sunday Prime Time with Vèrtex
Following his departure from weekend news anchoring and his recent work on special programming, veteran journalist Ramon Pellicer is spearheading a brand-new social current affairs project titled Vèrtex. According to network presentations covered by regional media, the program will examine major weekly social issues from multiple perspectives during the Sunday prime-time slot, immediately following the investigative show 30 minuts.
The project is scheduled to premiere on September 27, following the conclusion of the Piromusical de la Mercè broadcast. Pellicer’s production team features journalists Georgina Arnau and Júlia Peguera, who will lead field reports. Pellicer explained that the reporting structure relies on journalists serving as direct witnesses to real-world situations, bringing both on-site documentation and in-studio breakdowns of details that fall outside standard camera coverage.
New Scripted Fiction Slate: From Ferran Adrià to Artificial Intelligence
Fictional programming anchors the network’s new slate, led by three major premieres. The rollout begins on September 21 with the debut of Gènesi, a dramatic exploration centered on chef Ferran Adrià and the culinary creation of El Bulli. The production, which heads to the San Sebastián International Film Festival, stars Miquel Fernández alongside Carlos Cuevas, Iván Massagué, Mónica López, and Joana Vilapuig.
Additional fictional additions include In vitro, a tragicomedy set inside an assisted reproduction clinic starring Bruna Cusí and David Verdaguer. Each episode follows distinct reproductive scenarios, ranging from delayed pregnancies to LGBTQ+ family planning and genetic selection. A second new series, LIA, explores artificial intelligence through the lens of four doctoral candidates in an advanced, highly competitive laboratory program, featuring a cast that includes Mireia Vilapuig, Clara Sans, Cristina Colom, Laura Vinyals, and Emma Vilarassau. Production has also commenced on the second season of Departament Amades.
Entertainment and Reality Formats Expand
On the entertainment front, established formats such as La travessa and La gran cita are returning with fresh iterations. Notably, the outdoor adventure show La travessa will introduce its first-ever celebrity edition for the upcoming run, pairing recognizable public figures with demanding physical terrain.
