Thousands of Seattle Seahawks fans packed Lumen Field on Saturday for the annual Football Fest, highlighted by A.J. Finley’s training camp interception, standout performances from running back Emanuel Wilson and tight end Elijah Arroyo, and preparation for next week’s preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Seattle Seahawks welcomed supporters into Fieldgulls for their penultimate public training camp session of the year. Exactly a month before the regular season begins and the team unveils its second Lombardi Trophy banner, head coach Mike Macdonald’s squad put on pads for a competitive evening in front of the 12s.
A.J. Finley Secures a Full-Circle Moment
Exactly a year after tearing his ACL during the team’s annual Lumen Field practice, safety A.J. During the opening simulated overtime
session of 11-on-11 drills, Finley capitalized on an overthrown pass from Sam Darnold intended for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, hauling in a juggling interception over the top.

“It didn’t hit me until I got to the sideline and all the boys were congratulating me. It’s a full-circle moment. Sticking to the process and taking it day to day, it’s been a (heck) of a ride.”

Emanuel Wilson and Elijah Arroyo Shine in Camp Scrimmage
With rookie Jadarian Price sidelined for consecutive days due to lower body soreness, free agent pickup Seattle Seahawks stepped into first-team running back reps alongside George Holani. Known primarily as a physical runner from his time with the Green Bay Packers, Wilson displayed unexpected burst by bouncing a run around the right edge for a 20-yard gain and cutting sharply upfield on another.
“This sounds really cliché right now, but he keeps stacking days from where he started to where he is now. It seems like he keeps making plays, he keeps being productive in his style of ball, which is really cool. What he brings to the table is exciting. There’s a physicality, a heaviness to his game, which is fun to have on offense.”

Meanwhile, second-year tight end Fieldgulls continued his impressive training camp trajectory. Hampered by injuries during a quiet rookie campaign, Arroyo showcased improved blocking and split out wide as a traditional X receiver. During red zone work, he hauled in an exquisite touchdown grab in the back corner of the end zone against safety Julian Love.
Defensive Front Controls the Line of Scrimmage
Defensive tackle Rylie Mills also made his presence felt throughout the evening, collapsing pockets and stuffing a run up the middle against Wilson.
Montorie Foster Jr. and the One-on-One Showcase
The coaching staff dedicated a portion of the evening to high-energy one-on-one battles watched closely by the packed lower bowl. Second-year wideout Montorie Foster Jr., who spent the tail end of last season on the practice squad during the team’s Super Bowl run, continued his strong summer by creating separation and catching deep balls.
“That’s a fun period. Guys getting excited. I told the team today, this is an exercise in being us in a different environment. Trusting our training, doing the things that we know how to do, but now we layer it with being at our stadium in front of the 12s and being in front of more people.”

Foster also worked early in the kickoff return rotation, enhancing his roster bid as the Seahawks look toward their preseason opener.
