The youth talent from San Pietro Vernotico has reached the pinnacle of national indoor archery, with athletes from Asd Arcieri Amici di Reno securing a dominant victory at the Italian Indoor Archery Championship. In a high-stakes competition held in Fiumicino, three standout athletes from the Brindisi region claimed the gold medal in the Allieve Arco Nudo (Youth Barebow) team category.

The national event, which served as the concluding phase for athletes who achieved the season’s best results, took place at the new Fiera di Roma from Thursday, February 26, to Sunday, March 1, 2026. The competition format required precision and endurance, with winners determined by the cumulative scores of 60 arrows.

Dominance in the Allieve Arco Nudo Category

The victory for the Puglia-based squad was decisive. The team—comprised of Sara Levante and Alessandra Massari, both from San Pietro Vernotico, and Roberta Suriano of Mesagne—posted a commanding total score of 1,223 points. This performance placed them comfortably ahead of some of the most established teams in the circuit.

The competition saw the team from Kappa Kosmos of Rovereto take second place with 1,193 points, while the Altopiano Pinè squad finished third with 1,075 points. The gap between the gold medalists and their nearest rivals underscores the technical proficiency and consistency displayed by the Asd Arcieri Amici di Reno trio.
