The Las Vegas Shoot, widely recognized as the world’s largest indoor archery tournament, is marking its 60th anniversary in 2026 with record-breaking participation and special celebrations across multiple venues.
According to the French Archery Federation (FFTA), 3,183 archers are expected to compete in the anniversary edition of the event, which will take place from Friday to Sunday in the Paris and Horseshoe halls.
The milestone celebration coincides with the tournament’s longstanding reputation as the “Super Bowl of Archery,” a title affirmed by official organizers who describe it as bringing together “the best archers in the world” for six decades.
Special anniversary events are scheduled throughout the competition weekend, including a dedicated celebration party on Thursday, March 26, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the Paris Ballroom.
The celebration will feature traditional Las Vegas elements to kick off the festivities, beginning with a balloon drop to officially launch the 60th anniversary observance.
Following the balloon drop, attendees can enjoy music, participate in a scavenger hunt, and witness the live selection of Grand Prize winners from the Spin to Win promotion during the evening festivities.
As part of the anniversary programming, organizers are hosting a special $1,000-A-Day Scholarship Shoot Off exclusively for youth archers aged 17 and under.
This youth feature event will separate competitors by bow style into four divisions: Compound, Recurve, Bowhunter, and Barebow Recurve, with each division competing in a winner-take-all format.
Each of the four youth divisions will award a $1,000 scholarship to the winner, providing financial support for young archers to continue their development in the sport.
The celebration will also include the Grand Prize Drawing for the Vegas Shoot Spin to Win promotion, where registered archers have been earning entries throughout the event by spinning for prizes.
During the 60-Year Celebration Party, the Grand Prize winners will be selected live in the Paris Ballroom, adding to the festive atmosphere of the milestone occasion.
French archers are well-represented at this year’s tournament, with the FFTA confirming that 20 French competitors will participate in the Las Vegas Shoot.
Among the French delegation is Victoria Sebastian, who will attempt to win the Indoor World Series circuit during her participation in the anniversary tournament.
The Las Vegas Shoot has maintained its status as the premier indoor archery competition globally since its inception six decades ago, consistently attracting the highest number of participants in the sport.
This year’s expected attendance of 3,183 archers represents a significant milestone for the tournament, underscoring its enduring appeal and growth over six decades.
The combination of competitive archery, anniversary celebrations, youth scholarship opportunities, and international participation makes the 60th edition of the Las Vegas Shoot a landmark event in the sport’s calendar.
As the tournament progresses through its competition days, archers from around the world will vie for top honors while contributing to the ongoing legacy of what organizers call the sport’s most prestigious indoor event.
The anniversary celebrations serve not only to honor six decades of tournament history but also to highlight the continued vitality and global reach of competitive archery.
