Riva del Garda, Italy – The Arcieri Virtus women’s archery team claimed a silver medal at the 53rd Italian Archery Championships, held at the Nuova Fiera di Roma on March 1st, 2026. The team of Sara Romani, Simona Bortolotti, and Serena Avancini fought a hard-fought battle, ultimately falling to Arcieri delle Alpi with a final score of 6-2.
The Arcieri Virtus squad had a strong showing throughout the tournament, initially taking a lead in the final match before being overtaken by their Piedmontese opponents. At the same event, Sara Romani, Simona Bortolotti, and Serena Avancini took first place in the senior women’s barebow team competition.
The team also saw strong individual results at the indoor “Città di Riva” tournament, with Umberto Casadei finishing second in the master men’s Olympic bow category, Lavinia Tonelli and Sofia Ferrari placing second and third respectively in the senior women’s Olympic bow, and Aurora Tomasi and Ludovica Benini taking second and third in the girls’ Olympic bow.
