Panna Udvardy Targeted with Threats and Extortion Attempt
ANTALYA, Turkey – Hungarian tennis player Panna Udvardy, ranked No. 95 in the world, has been the target of disturbing threats and an apparent extortion attempt, she revealed on Instagram. The 27-year-old detailed receiving menacing messages prior to a match in Antalya, Turkey, including threats against her family and a chilling image.
According to Udvardy’s account, posted on her official Instagram account, an unknown individual threatened harm to her family if she did not lose her match. The messages reportedly included detailed personal information, claiming knowledge of her family’s whereabouts, vehicles, and phone numbers. Perhaps most disturbing, the sender allegedly included photographs of her family members alongside a picture of a handgun.
