https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-ns5tv-1a39f52

Today’s guest is William Bøgebjerg – one of Denmark’s biggest men’s singles talents in badminton. Already at a young age, he knew that badminton would be his way of life, and today he trains at Badminton Denmark’s National Elite Træningscenter in Brøndby with one clear goal: to become one of the world’s best.

In the episode, William shares his journey from the first years in the Copenhagen Badminton Club to the Youth WC in China 2024, where he experienced his biggest injury to date and half a year’s break from the sport. He talks honestly about the hardships, the way back and how the period has made him mentally stronger.

William talks about what he is currently focusing on in his daily training.

We talk about ambitions, daily training and what it means to be a Mental Winner – someone who does his best every day, finds solutions and never gives up. An inspiring conversation about dedication, responsibility and the dream of reaching the world elite.

Listen to podcast episode no. #118 with single national coach Hans Kristian Vittinghus, who is Williams’ coach: https://www.podbean.com/ew/pb-3t87b-1489897
