Flora Wang (18 years old, DKC) won her first national title in the women’s singles by beating clubmate Jaymie Laurens in a one-sided final 21-9 and 21-16. Wang had previously won in an exciting semi-final against defending champion Novi Wieland.
Priya beats Haase in final
Adith Karthikeyan Priya was crowned the new Dutch champion in the men’s singles. The 19-year-old player from BC Duinwijck won in the final 21-17 and 21-12 against the first seeded 20-year-old Noah Haase (BV Almere).
First title for mix duo Jille / Wassink
The title in the mixed doubles was won after a thrilling final phase for Brian Wassink and Debora Jille. The BC Duinwijck couple eliminated two match points and won 21-10, 17-21 and 22-20 against the Almere duo Dyon van Wijlick / Kirsten de Wit. It was Jille’s third national title in mixed doubles. She previously won twice with Ties van der Lecq. For Wassink it was his second mixittel after winning it in 2024 with Jaymie Laurens.
Seventh women’s doubles title for Seinen
Cheryl Seinen won her seventh national title in women’s doubles in Almere. Alongside Iris van Leijsen (BC Drop Shot), she defeated the first-seeded couple Meerte Loos and Kirsten de Wit (Duinwijck / Almere) in the final 21-17 and 22-20. For Van Leijsen it was her first national title.
A first for Haase
In the last final of the day, occasional duo Noah Haase / Ties van der Lecq (Almere / Duinwijck) captured the title in the men’s doubles. In the final battle, the duo won 17-21, 21-19 and 21-15 against the pair Andy Buijk / Brian Wassink (BCH/Duinwijck). It is Haase’s first national title.
