Valonsadero Badminton: 2026 Season & Kit Reveal

Last Saturday the Valonsadero Badminton Club competition group presented the new 2026 season and the new kit to its fans at the Top TTR Castilla y León U19 held at the Fuente del Rey Municipal Sports Center in the capital. The Soriano club, focused on grassroots sports, as well as high national and international competition, wanted to add this event to its tournament calendar to make the audience enjoy the sporting level of its volantistas.

Despite beginning his career in the under-19 category, Hugo Sanz, member of the Spanish team and current under-17 national champion in men’s singles and mixed doubles, confirmed his status as favorite in both events, taking victory in both, in mixed doubles with his training partner África Gazo, without giving up a set.

Also outstanding were Miguel Pérez, Noel Romera and Ian Antón who, also in their first year in U19, achieved second place in the men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles events respectively. On this occasion, Irene Gárate did not take part in the competition, although she wanted to be next to her teammates, cheering them on from the stands.

Excellent results from Valonsadero Bádminton in the events it participated in, achieving two gold and three silver medals. After this tournament, the Valonsadero volantistas have returned to training this week with their sights set on a demanding season in which the junior world ranking will be the reference for this group of athletes who, together with their coach Carlos Palero, are promoting, season after season, Soria and regional badminton to another level of achievements and successes.
