Thibau Nys: Worlds Surprise & Future Plans

The Cyclocross World Championships were Thibau Nys’s last cross of the season. However, he will not immediately go on a skiing holiday.

Just like last year, Thibau Nys took bronze at the Cyclo-cross World Championships. And now the World Cup is his last cross of the season. Last year, Nys headed to the snow immediately after the World Cup to go skiing.

Nys feels better than expected

That might be different this year. “I think I will adjust my program a bit and keep my body going. I feel that I am fresher than expected,” Nys said after the World Cup GARDEN1.

After the Christmas period, which was very difficult, Nys thought he would need two weeks of rest before starting his preparation for the road season. That is not the case now.

“I have found a new impetus,” said Nys. “To rest for two weeks now can really drag me down. Maybe I’ll stay busy for a while and then the belt will come off.” Although nothing will change in the Nys program.
