Terre di Castelli Archers: Regional Championship Success | Archery Results

Significant results in the first two stages of the Regional Indoor Class and Overall Shooting Championships
the Bow for the Terre di Castelli Archers.

The Arco Nudo division, engaged at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Castelfranco Emilia, lined up with 16 archers (the largest team of the event) under the orders of the technicians Fabio Azzolini and Gloria Morselli. In the qualifying phase comes the gold medal of the highly favored Women’s Master Team composed of Fabia Rovatti, Pamela Mammi and Mary Varvaro, with Fabia Rovatti the individual silver medal.

A surprise result, however, for the Senior Men’s team made up of Davide Maccagnoni, Carlo Muzzarelli and Alberto Venturelli who took home the bronze medal complete with a seasonal record.

In the World Championships, a huge double blow for Fabia Rovatti and the Women’s team made up of the same former European champion, Pamela Mammi and Qin Gan who were both defeated in the final for the title on the play-off arrow. However, two excellent silver medals arrive.

Another silver also for the 12 year old Giulia Incerti, the only representative of the Arco Olimpico division, engaged on the Casalgrande field followed by coach Alberto Venturelli. This is the first experience for the very young athlete on the challenging “triple” target which she will encounter in the event of qualification for the Italian Championships.

On 7 and 8 February the Terre di Castelli archers will be the organizers of the traditional City of Vignola Trophy, now in its 19th edition, exactly 20 years after the first competition at the “A. Paradisi” school complex. It will be the last match in the Region useful for qualifying for the Nationals scheduled in Rome at the end of February. The presence of 156 athletes from different regions and from San Marino is expected.
