Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard is the unlucky guy of the week. The Frenchman had to go to the ATP tournament Montpellier gave up because he hurt himself.

The 22-year-old was in the first set of the ATP250 tournament in his home country against his compatriot Arthur Gea 3:5 and 0:30 back. In the following rally he came to the net, completed once and the second time he had a mishap. He only hit the ball with the frame of his racket, from where it flew directly into his left eye. Perricard immediately collapsed and was visibly in pain.

Despite immediate interruption and medical treatment, Perricard was unable to continue playing and had to withdraw from the tournament.
