TERMOLI – Bitter Sunday for Svethia Recanati who return from Termoli with a defeat and see themselves joined in the standings by Virtus Civitanova at 24. Gialloblu heavily restructured due to the feverish Urbutis and Pozzetti with coach Schiavi starting in a quintet with Sabbatini and Semprini. Termoli gets off to a better start thanks to triples from Pierucci and Rupil well assisted by Diarra’s physicality: monologue from the home team and an immediate double-digit lead (19-5). Recanati takes a breath and reorganizes its ideas thanks to Andreani and Magrini, at the first siren Svethia perfectly in the game (23-21). Sunday isn’t the best and thanks to some too much amnesia Termoli continues to push and gets back to +9 (41-32 triple by Pierucci), Sabbatini on the other side lights up with five consecutive points and Svethia is back in contact (41-37). The fourth rewards Termoli again who leads 46-39 at halftime. The hosts did not let go even when returning from the changing rooms, Pierucci for the new +10 (49-39), Sabbatini and Semprini again with Buzzone’s triple and Leopardi very lively (51-48). New AIR Basket tear and coach Schiavi forced to timeout (57-48), Svethia alternating current and careless in defense who at the third siren has seven points to recover (65-58).
