Super Cup: Fans Flock to DF – Security Boosted

Hundreds of organized fans linked to Gaviões da Fiel and Jovem Fla arrived in the federal capital this Saturday (31/1) to watch the clash between Corinthians and Flamengo in the Supercopa Rei. The competition is played annually between the champions of the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil. The game takes place at 4pm, at the Mané Garrincha Stadium.

Since mid-week, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) began monitoring convoys of fans coming from other states. In DF, monitoring was transferred to the DF Military Police. According to the corporation, security has been reinforced in the central area of Brasília. Until the last update of this report, no incidents between the fans had been recorded.

Gaviões da Fiel fans from several states in Brazil arrived in DF. According to the organization, 74 buses will be made available that will leave the fans’ headquarters towards the stadium. The same happens with Jovem Fla, which allocated a price of R$20 and R$25 for transport to Mané Garrincha.
