Already affected at the start of the season, the Brazilian striker will be absent for another week and will miss the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey against Albacete.
FC Barcelona’s Brazilian striker Raphinha will miss Tuesday’s Copa del Rey quarter-final against Albacete and will be absent for a week due to muscle pain in his right adductor, the Catalan club announced on Monday.
“Raphinha presents an overload of the adductor of the right leg” said the Blaugrana team in a message published on social networks. “As a precaution, he will miss the match against Albacete and the recovery period will be one week” she clarified. These pains prevented him from playing the second half of the match against Elche on Saturday which ended in a 3-1 victory for Barça.

Raphinha has already spent almost two months away from the field due to a hamstring injury, with two relapses in between, which undoubtedly explains why Hansi Flick’s technical staff took this precaution. On the other hand, the Frenchman Jules Koundé was able to train with the group this Monday. The defender did not finish the match against Elche due to cramps.
