Persib Bandung Win: Malut United Coach Criticizes Refereeing

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Malut United had to recognize the superiority of host Persib Bandung with a score of 0-2 in the 20th week of the 2025-2026 Super League match at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Friday (6/2/2026).

Even though they suffered defeat, Malut United head coach Hendri Susilo still appreciated the hard work of his team on the field.

​”I think the team has tried their best and put up resistance. However, tonight it was a victory for Persib,” said Hendri after the match, Friday (6/2).

​Nevertheless, Hendri gave a critical note regarding the referee’s leadership which he considered influenced the course of the match.

One of the highlights was when Tyronne del Pino was brought down in the penalty box in the second half, but the referee did not award a penalty after checking via the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

​”The thing that needs to be evaluated tonight is the referee. I think there were a lot of inappropriate decisions from the referee,” he concluded.

On the other hand, North Maluku Captain, Gustavo Franca acknowledged the toughness of the opponent who is at the top of the standings.

​”As we predicted, facing Persib is not an easy matter. We have tried to carry out the planned strategy,” said the defender from Brazil.

Furthermore, Gustavo Franca emphasized that the team would immediately rise to face the next challenge.

“Now is the time for us to focus on the next match and work hard again to get the three points,” he said.

​Malut United is scheduled to host Persijap Jepara in the 21st match at the Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate, next Friday (13/2/2026).
