Paulo da Silva: Ajax Debut Assist vs NEC | Performance Review

Paulo da Silva immediately made his mark on Saturday in his debut for Ajax Under 19. The much-discussed striker, who was taken over from NEC this winter, came on in the second half against his old club and immediately provided an assist in the 2-1 victory.

NEC took the lead in the first half through a penalty kick, forcing Ajax to chase. The home team quickly came alongside. Anass Moumane gave up on Pharell Nash, who scored the 1-1 against the ropes.

Ajax then increased the pressure further and eventually found the winning goal. Substitute Da Silva, who came on against his old club around the 64th minute, immediately proved his worth by serving Tyrese Teeuwsen. The attacker finished coolly and gave Ajax Under 19 the victory against NEC.

It was a special moment for Da Silva, shortly after his transfer from Nijmegen. The striker made his first minutes in the Ajax shirt and was immediately decisive against his former club.
