After nearly seven seasons, Artemi Panarin is leaving the New York Rangers.

The Russian has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings. For the forward, the Rangers get talent Liam Greentree, 20, a conditional third-round pick in the 2026 draft and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2028 draft.

The Rangers also retain half of Panarin’s salary for the rest of the season.

His new contract, which starts next season, is written over two seasons and worth 11 million dollars, almost 99 million kroner, per year.

Since Panarin had an expiring contract with the Rangers, there have been some rumors about his future recently.

Now it became clear just minutes before the Olympic deadline.

Panarin moved to the Rangers after two seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 34-year-old’s NHL career started with the Chicago Blackhawks.
