Palermo Travel: Silver Feathers & City Guide

The Silver Feathers and the City of Palermo are ready for Serie A Badminton

The Silver Feathers and Città di Palermo are preparing to face the next Serie A badminton championship. The first concentration is scheduled in Malles, Trentino, on February 7, where the two Palermo teams will officially begin their seasonal journey.

The declared objective of the Silver Feathers is to present itself as a highly competitive team. «We will also try to beat the Italian champions declares Paolo Caracausi, who adds, – thanks to a high quality roster». The club has in fact set up a top-level team, including elements of international standing: among the new arrivals, David Sallut, a national athlete, stands out, together with Giovanni Toti, a veteran of the Olympic experience. The group is completed by two Ukrainian players Ponila and Zhenya together with Amanda, as well as the real jewel of the house, Davide Izzo, under 19 of the Italian national team.

«It will be a difficult and very complicated championship – they explain from the Silver Feathers – but we hope and believe we can compete for the scudetto, an objective towards which we are working decisively this year».

As far as Città di Palermo is concerned, president Laura Romeo urges caution: «The team is in line with the other teams that will fight for salvation. However, thanks to the additions that will arrive from the second concentration, we are counting on being able to bring home those fundamental and precious points to maintain the category”.

The two Palermo teams, Città di Palermo and Piume d’Argento, have a lot of confidence in the commitment of their players, in their professionalism and above all in the heart that they will be able to show in every match of this challenging Serie A season.
