NINOVE – ‘Kiki’ Man Kei To is the only compatriot to participate in the G Badminton World Championships, which will take place from February 7 to 14 in Manama (Bahrain).
Kiki is heading to Bahrain with ambition for the G Badminton World Cup and will participate in the singles and mixed doubles. The top athlete dreams of a podium place. “That is what I am aiming for, but it will be hard fought for. All the top players are participating and the new competitors have also shown a high level. I am ready for it.”

Kiki refined her hitting and rolling techniques in 2025, under the guidance of her new trainer at Badminton Flanders. In 2025 she was often in finals, but did not achieve any tournament wins. “Because I worked on my technique, I had slightly less automatisms and competition rhythm, but hopefully that choice will pay off in 2026. I have worked hard on my strokes and I am also in good condition.”
After the European title in Rotterdam in 2023, Man-Kei To (class WH1) won her first World Championship medal in singles at the world championships in Pattaya the following year. Last year Kiki started the European Championship as defending champion; she made it to the final, but the Swiss Cynthia Mathez was stronger. Kiki wants to be there in Bahrain, just like in recent years, where she will also participate in the mixed doubles, together with the Chilean Jaime Aranguiz.
