Madden 26: Super Bowl 60 Prediction & Winner Reveal

As is tradition, EA usually simulates the outcome of each major championship (in sports where they have their own games). They use the latest edition of the relevant sports title to help them, and the Super Bowl taking place on Monday night, they have now predicted the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks winners.

In fact, these two teams have already faced each other in the Super Bowl, in 2015 to be exact. At the time, NFL Madden NFL 15 predicted that the match would end 28-24 in favor of the Patriots… which turned out to be correct. That’s exactly how it happened.

So how will it happen this time? EA writes what “Simulation has become more accurate and detailed than ever, powered by advanced algorithms, nearly a decade of real NFL data, and insight from millions of Madden NFL games played.” – and with that, they determined that the Seahawks would beat the Patriots by a narrow margin of 23-20. The best player of the game will be Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold.

In fact, the Patriots will apparently lead the final quarter by 3 points before the tide turns after a missed drive:

“After a strong second-half comeback, New England was forced to punt Seattle with just 42 seconds left, hoping their defense could make one more stop. Darnold then orchestrated a legacy- and MVP-building drive to give the Seahawks a chance to go for the win, rather than a field goal to tie the game, on the heels of a strong punt return from Rashid Shaheed.

It all comes down to one last play inside the five-yard line, a moment that Seattle fans certainly remember from this previous clash. They could choose to equalize, but they decide to go for the victory. Darnold hands the ball to Kenneth Walker, who reaches for the game-winning touchdown as time expires.

On Sunday evening, we’ll see how accurate Madden NFL 26 is and whether it manages to repeat the feat from 2015. Kick-off is at 11:30 p.m. BST and 12:30 a.m. CET. Who do you think will win?
