Jong Genk & Club NXT: Challenger Pro League Results

On Friday evening, both Club NXT and Jong Genk recorded an important victory in the Challenger Pro League. The Bruges promises defeated RFC Seraing in a cellar cracker, while Jong Genk won on away against KAS Eupen. Two victories that are of great importance sportingly and mentally in the battle at the bottom of the rankings.

In the Challenger Pro League, a direct match between Club NXT and RFC Seraing was scheduled. Club NXT started the evening penultimate, Seraing was just above. There was no great spectacle, but efficiency was the deciding factor. The 16-year-old Tian Nai Koren scored the only goal of the match about twenty minutes before the final whistle and gave the people of Bruges three very valuable points.

Jong Genk also came into action on Friday. The Limburg promises took on KAS Eupen and kept the match closed for a long time. It wasn’t until minute 75 that Adrian Palacios broke the spell. A few minutes later, Jonathan Coenen made the final difference with the 0-2. Thanks to that victory, Jong Genk temporarily climbs over Anderlecht and Seraing in the rankings.

In episode 26 of the second season of Tijd voor Voetbal, the many supporters’ protests in the JPL are discussed, the possible dismissal of Besnik Hasi from RSC Anderlecht and the goal festival in Club Brugge – Zulte Waregem. That and much more in Time for Football.
