Haarlem Squatter & Playoff Fight | [Season/Year] Update

You have the news, we have a little bit!

Who will make a gap this weekend and who should fear for the connection?

Almere in the lead, tension for second place

Almere currently leads the rankings with 67 points from 12 games. The Almeers seem determined to enter the play-offs as number one. However, the greatest tension is directly below: Drop Shot (61 points) and Duinwijck (60 points) are barely separated. With the mutual match on Sunday looming, second place could easily change hands this weekend.

Saturday February 7: Important points in Limburg and Wijchen

Two interesting matches are scheduled for Saturday evening at 7:00 PM. Roosterse receives the Amersfoort team in the Albert Hall. This is a key match for both teams: Amersfoort is in 6th place with 37 points, just above Roosterse, which is in 7th place with 34 points. A victory for the Limburgers would mean that they pass Amersfoort and leave the lower regions behind them for good.

At the same time, Smashing plays at home in Wijchen against DKC. DKC is currently in a stable fourth place, but Smashing (5th) will do everything they can to reduce the 8-point gap and increase the pressure on the top four.

Sunday February 8: The squatter Duinwijck vs Drop Shot

Sunday will be opened by the absolute top match of this weekend. Duinwijk will meet Drop Shot in the DEGIRO hall in Haarlem at 1:30 PM. With only one point difference in favor of the people of The Hague, second place is at stake. Duinwijck has also played one match less than leader Almere, which means that with a big win they will virtually be doing very well for the top position.

Leader Almere will take action against bottom-of-the-table BCH Den Bosch at 2 p.m. Although the statistics speak in favor of Almere, BCH – which is still waiting for its first victory of the season – should never be underestimated in their hunt for rehabilitation.

What can we expect?

This weekend the final separation can be made between the top 3 and the rest of the field. While Almere wants to consolidate its leading position, the focus of Premier League followers will mainly be on Haarlem.
