Ethan Mbappé Injury Update: Father’s Message

Obviously, Ethan Mbappé’s condition does not seem reassuring. This Wednesday, the Lille midfielder posted an enigmatic message on his Instagram account, almost a week after suffering a thigh injury in training. “A new stage that we will have to surpass to come back even stronger than the previous ones and be able to finally definitively launch my Lille adventure… We will see each other again soon,” wrote Kylian Mbappé’s brother.

The former Paris Saint-Germain player does not reveal more about the duration of unavailability. Sunday after the defeat against Olympique Lyonnais (1-0), Bruno Genesio was not much more precise. “I don’t have very good news for him. He hurt his thigh and I can’t tell you the duration or the seriousness of his injury,” commented the Lille coach.

Support from game players

On Instagram, many football players showed their support. “Good recovery Ethan,” wrote the Ligue 1 account. Senny Mayulu, his ex-teammate at PSG, Bafodé Diakité or Lille’s Hakon Haraldsson and Soriba Diaoune slipped him some compassionate emojis in comments.

As his post implies, Mbappé has rarely been left alone by injuries since his arrival in the North in the summer of 2024. He was notably injured in his adductors and thighs.
