Diogo Jota Son’s 5th Birthday: Rute Cardoso’s Message

Rute Cardoso marked the birthday of his eldest son, little Dinis, on social media. The boy turned five years old and his mother shared an image with him on her lap at Disney, in Paris.

“5 years, of you! And of us, the 3 of them” wrote Diogo Jota’s widow in the caption of the publication that already has thousands of ‘likes’.

“Happy birthday Dinis”; “Congratulations doll! Congratulations my dear”; “Lots of strength to you. Congratulations to your son. And to mom too” are some of the comments left on the publication.

Remember that Rute and Diogo Jota had three children: Dinis, Duarte, two years old and little Mafalda, one year old. The Portuguese international died on July 3, 2025, together with his brother André Silva, in a car accident in Spain. Diogo and Rute had gotten married 11 days before the tragic accident.

Since her husband’s departure, Rute Cardoso has dedicated herself to social causes. On January 29th, Rute went with the FC Porto team to visit the Pediatric Ward of Hospital S. João, in Porto.

“From virtual to real. On Puzzl Day, Rute Cardoso and the FC Porto Luna eSports team visited the Pediatric Ward of Hospital S. João to show the importance of also knowing how to put down the controller”, can be read in the social media post.

Rute Cardoso, Diogo Jota’s widow, and his eldest sons, Dinis and Duarte, were present at a tribute to the Portuguese international at Anfield Road, Liverpool’s stadium, in England. Diogo Jota died in July this year.
