In the Laatste Nieuws Voetbalpodcast, the match bonuses of the major Belgian clubs were revealed. As expected, Club Brugge are among the top payers.
In Anderlecht, the holders currently receive 1,000 euros gross per point. In the event of victory, they pocket 3,000 euros. Antwerp applies a similar system, regardless of the player. Even for executives like Thorgan Hazard.
On the side of Club de Brugeswe are above: the standard bonus amounts to 2,000 euros per point for incumbents, while two experienced executives receive up to 4,000 euros per point. Replacements obviously receive a smaller share.
The Union has more than one bonus up its sleeve
La Gantoise pays the least: 500 euros per point for most players. Only a few exceptions, such as certain summer transfers, benefit from 1,000 euros per point. The Union is a little higher with 700 euros per point, but has implemented a clever bonus system: doubled bonuses are granted after two consecutive victories.
KRC Genk pays 1,500 euros per point to the majority of its players. In Sint-Truiden, the bonus depends on the ranking: at the bottom of the table, it brings 300 euros per point, in the middle 500 euros, and in the top 6, 700 euros.

The Canaries’ exceptional season will therefore bring big returns to the players. Will the group negotiate increased bonuses before Playoffs 1? As in other clubs, the players’ council should meet with management.
