The current season represents a transition season for BC Uzwil. This is being used specifically to gradually bring talented players from our own ranks to the top of Swiss badminton. It became clear in the first half of the season that this path can be associated with fluctuations in performance. However, the experience gained in the top league is an important building block for the sporting development of the young talent and should pay off in the coming years.
Uzwil is currently in sixth place in the table. The gap to a playoff place is five points. There is no pressure at the back as there are no relegations this season. Brig has voluntarily withdrawn from the Nationalliga A.
The club had to accept a surprising departure in terms of personnel over the winter break. Jorina Jann is leaving BC Uzwil at her own request and joining league rivals Adliswil.
In terms of sport, a demanding program awaits at the start of the second half of the season. On Saturday, BC Uzwil will host second-placed Yverdon in their home game. The game starts at 4:00 p.m. in the BZWU Niederuzwil sports hall. The game against the current league leaders Lausanne follows on Sunday.
